Dr NathanMichael J. Nathan, M.D.

 

Dr. Michael Nathan is a graduate of Boston University and the St. George's University School of Medicine. After finishing his residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the Albany Medical Center in New York, he completed fellowship training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.


Dr. Nathan is Board Certified in Otolaryngology, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Nathan has established an Otolaryngology practice in which his primary focus remains the doctor/patient relationship. He feels strongly that while identifying the conditions is important, only through a warm understanding of the patient’s concerns and fears can one truly treat and make the whole person better.

 

 

 

Dr KhannaManish Khanna, M.D.

 

Dr. Khanna joined Dr. Nathan and the Associates in Otolaryngology in 2008 as director of the Sinus Institute of Northern Virginia. He completed his board certification in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery in 2008 and is excited to return to the DC metro area to provide quality medical and surgical care.

 

Dr. Khanna grew up in Rockville, Maryland and graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. He spent the following year as a post-graduate researcher at NIH, performing cutting edge research and producing publications. Dr. Khanna then attended Albany Medical College and earned his medical degree in 2002. Subsequently, he was accepted to the Otolaryngology residency program at Albany Medical Center and completed his surgical internship, residency, and chief residency years in 2007.

 

Following residency, Dr. Khanna was accepted for fellowship in Rhinology - Advanced Endoscopic Sinus Surgery at the California Sinus Institute in Palo Alto, CA under Drs. Winston Vaughan and Karen Fong. While training at the Institute, he learned both the medical and surgical management of challenging sino-nasal disorders. Revision endoscopic sinus surgery, medial orbital wall decompression, CSF leak repair, sinonasal polyp surgery, sinonasal tumor removal, and frontal sinus surgery were some of the nearly 300 sinonasal procedures performed by Dr. Khanna at the California Sinus Institute.

 

He is currently on staff at INOVA Mount Vernon Hospital and Reston Hospital Center, as well as Fairfax Surgery Center, Reston Surgery Center, and Franconia-Springfield Surgery Center. Dr. Khanna is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the American Rhinologic Society.

 

Dr. Khanna is joined by his wife Ameera, who is a pathologist, and their son, Evan. He enjoys basketball, squash, flag football, cooking, and traveling in his spare time.

HeatherHeather Condon, PA-C

 

Heather Condon, PA-C is a graduate of Virginia Tech where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then attended the College of Health Sciences where she completed her physician Assistants education.


Heather is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine. Heather is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.


In our practice, Heather can examine, diagnose and treat patients. She is able to teach and counsel patients, order and interpret tests, and make recommendations regarding surgery. She seeks to provide effective patient care with respect and commitment to each individual patient. Heather works under the supervision of Drs. Nathan and Khanna to coordinate optimum patient care.

 

 

 

 

 


NovakMorgan Nowak, MS,PA-C

 

Morgan Nowak, MS,PA-C, is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She received her Master of Science degree at Rutgers University in New Jersey after completing her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Ms. Nowak chose her career as a physician assistant because of the high level of patient interaction inherent in the profession. She is dedicated to patient education and preventative therapy.


Ms. Nowak is licensed to examine, diagnose, and treat patients in all aspects of Otolaryngology, including ordering and interpreting tests, and recommending surgery. She works under the supervision of Drs. Nathan and Khanna to coordinate optimum patient care.

 


Andrea LaizerAndrea Laizer, PA-C

Andrea Laizer MS, PA-C is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She completed her Masters of Science degree at George Washington University in Washington, DC.

She completed her Bachelors of Science and Post-baccalaureate coursework at Westfield State College and Mount Holyoke College respectively in Massachusetts.

Ms. Laizer is licensed to examine, diagnose and treat patients in all areas of Otolaryngology. This includes ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, performing office procedures and making recommendations for surgery. She works under the supervision of Dr. Nathan and Dr. Khanna to provide optimum patient care.
